Evangelist Bunmi Akinnanu Adeoye, fondly known as Omije Oju Mi, was more than a gospel singer — she was a vessel of deep worship, faith, and hope whose music touched lives across Nigeria and beyond.
Before answering the call to ministry, Bunmi built a solid career in the banking industry, where she worked for over a decade.
Yet, despite professional success, her heart remained drawn to music and service to God; a passion that began early in life as an active member of her church choir.
Her leap of faith came in the early 2000s when she left banking to fully embrace gospel music. That decision marked the beginning of a remarkable ministry.
She rose to prominence with her debut album Omije Oju Mi, a project that resonated deeply with listeners. The title track, meaning “Tears of My Eyes,” became a powerful anthem of heartfelt worship, reflecting her emotional, soul-stirring style and instantly establishing her as a household name in Nigeria and the diaspora.

Bunmi Akinnanu Adeoye pursued her academic journey with determination, studying Industrial Relations and Personnel Management at Lagos State University (LASU) after attending Lagos State Polytechnic, all while balancing work and ministry.
