“I WANT TO BE BABA GOMINA” — AKIRE OF IKIRE KINGDOM DECLARES AS APC CAMPAIGN TEAM VISITS PALACE

Earlier today, during the visit of the APC Chairman Campaign Committee for the forthcoming gubernatorial election, led by Hon. Oluwole Oke (BOO), the Akire of Ikire warmly received the delegation at his palace.

In his address, the paramount ruler emphasized his longstanding relationship with key traditional figures and the APC candidate. According to him, “Myself and the Alapomu of Apomu, alongside AMBO, have remained close friends. We did not betray each other then, and we will not do so now.”

Drawing historical parallels, the monarch added, “When Iragbiji produced a governor, the king of Iragbiji became Baba Gomina. The same happened in Ede and Ilesha. I want to be Baba Gomina.”

This strong statement clearly signals his endorsement of his illustrious son, Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, as the next Governor of Osun State.

Speaking during the visit, Hon. Oluwole Oke (BOO) and his team outlined the dividends of democracy expected under an AMBO administration. These include massive infrastructural development, improved road networks, job creation for youths, enhanced agricultural support, quality education reforms, healthcare system strengthening, economic empowerment programs, and increased security across the state.

The visit was well attended by party leaders, stakeholders, members, and well-wishers, reflecting growing support and momentum ahead of the gubernatorial election.
