AMBOSS Urges Osun Students to Get PVCs Ahead of Upcoming Elections

Osogbo, Osun State — The National Coordinator of the Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji Student Support Group (AMBOSS), Comrade Badmus Abdulafuwu, has called on students across Osun State to ensure they obtain and safeguard their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the forthcoming elections.

In a public statement issued on Monday, Comrade Abdulafuwu emphasized the critical role of student participation in shaping the future of Osun State, urging all eligible students to register, replace damaged or lost PVCs, and prepare to vote.

"Our vote is our voice, and the PVC is the instrument through which we can be heard," he said. "This is not the time to be passive. If we want change, we must be part of it."

According to him, the student community holds significant power in determining the future leadership of the state and must mobilize actively to support candidates who prioritize education, youth empowerment, and sustainable development.

He described Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji as the leader Osun needs at this critical juncture — a technocrat, reformer, and visionary with a proven track record in governance and public service, both at the state and federal levels.

"Asiwaju Oyebamiji’s plans are not mere promises. They are grounded in experience, backed by integrity, and focused on improving education, skill development, and student welfare," he stated.

Comrade Abdulafuwu noted that under Asiwaju Oyebamiji’s leadership, student-related issues such as bursary payments, campus infrastructure, and policies promoting innovation would be given renewed priority.

He further revealed that AMBOSS is actively mobilizing students across various campuses — from Osogbo to Ife, Ilesa to Ede, Ikire to Ila — to raise awareness on the importance of voter participation and political engagement.

"This is a movement of informed, empowered young people who are ready to take responsibility for their future. Let’s prove that students are not just active online but also at the ballot box," he added.

He concluded by urging students to encourage their peers to join the movement and make their votes count. "Your PVC is your power. Let’s use it to build a better Osun — one that works for students, for the youth, and for all."
