PDP presidential primary: Nigerians react as Atiku emerges winner

Nigerians have express their reactions especially on social media as they reacted to the victory of Atiku
Abubakar as the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
after the party's national convention
which took place in Port Harcourt, Rivers
state capital, on Saturday, October 6.
Former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, has
won the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
primary election to emerge as its
presidential candidate for the 2019
presidential election.
In the election conducted on Saturday,
October 6, at the party’s convention which
took place in Port Harcourt, Atiku defeated
11 other political bigwigs in the party.
He is expected to provide stiff competition
to President Muhammadu Buhari who
emerged as the All Progressives Congress
(APC)'s presidential candidate.
The opposition party's bigwigs and
delegates are in Port Harcourt, the Rivers
state capital for the convention and presidential primary where
they elected the presidential candidate that
will be slugging it out with the president in
2019.
