Breaking: Former Nigeria flying eagles player dies

The Nigerian football federation have been
thrown into another mourning following
the death of Nigeria former Flying Eagles star and
Stationery Stores of Lagos defender Collins
The 54-year-old who was a legend as far as
Nigerian Professional Football League is
concerned was said to have slumped in
front of his house in Ikorodu, Lagos on
Wednesday, September 26.

Collins Ebitimi became famous in the
Nigerian topflight football when he helped
Stationery Stores of Lagos to win the
Nigerian Premier League title in 1992.
He also captained the team to the semifinals
of the 1993 African Cup of Champions Clubs
which is now CAF Champions League.
“We will have to take his corpse down to our
family house in Surulere. After then, we will
announce the burial arrangements,'' a
family member identified as Fabian
explained according to Punch media.
May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
